The debut book of poetry from the creator and host of HeadStuff’s own: Fireside: The Irish Storytelling Podcast!
In Gardensea, K.C. Olohan endeavours to fuse the history, religion and mythology of Ireland with his own experiences of life growing up there, to form a Neo-Myth of home. Written between the east coast of Wicklow, and the west coast of California, these are poems of self-conscious lifeguards, insecure angels and conflicted pagan saints. Swim with the Soul Seal, run with the Nightown Fox, and fly with the California Garden Bird – Welcome to Gardensea.
K.C. Olohan is a writer and performer from County Wicklow. He graduated as part of the inaugural class of The Lir Academy, and completed further studies at the Oxford School of Poetry.
At home he has worked at the Abbey Theatre, The Gate and Project Arts Centre. He has also toured internationally in the United States, Canada, Germany, Norway and Australia.
His folk musical, Cassowary debuted at Theatre Upstairs, Dublin.
Olohan is the creator, writer and host of Fireside: The Irish Storytelling Podcast, on the HeadStuff Podcast Network. Gardensea is his debut collection of poetry.
